End of Fiesta-Going on Hiatus

Well, the balloon fiesta is over as of yesterday. I worked until almost 12:30 and helped get everything packed up for another year. I moved further west to Homolovi for a glorious night of electric and water hookup, enjoying TV without running the generator, electric quiet heat and a hot shower this morning! Wow! It sure is the little things in life, huh?

Today we are moving to Zion National Park and then on to Death Valley to do some serious hiking with friends. I may not be blogging much before I return home by Thanksgiving time, but I love getting emails and phone calls from home so feel free to contact me any time. You, my friends, have really kept me on track. Thank you. I pray for you all every day.

Here are a last couple of pictures before I get moving. The last mass ascension Sunday morning – always beautiful!

The last balloon standing on the field as I left the park. . .

and then not standing!

Zuni going through her pre-flight checklist this morning.

And taking a moment for the fun of stalking a raven. The raven was methodically checking each campsite for leftover snacks, of course.
