More from the Grand Canyon

I have a few photos from before I went hiking, so here they are. The official arrival:

This is the first overlook at the main visitor center which most people stop at. I was told that the walkways are crammed with people during the summer months.

Smokey & me

Campsite #60 at Ten X (US Forest Service) Campground.

I was in search of California Condors which have been reintroduced into the Grand Canyon, but found turkey vulture instead!

Hiking buddy, Jesse Bridgeman and me at Hermits Rest. Jesse insisted that I do all the “tourist” stuff along the rim and claims responsibility for “dragging me all over the park”. He and his friends get together every May 15 when the park opens and walk rim to rim over 4 days, camping along the way – this was their 33rd year doing so!
